Updated customs law underway

The existing customs law came into force in 2011 and has remained unchanged since then. Now TAKS has informed the Ministry of Finance that the law needs to be updated.

According to TAKS, a number of provisions in the law are no longer in accordance with existing procedures.

This has prompted the finance ministry to submit 11 amendment proposals, including one which seeks to remove customs duty on all prosthetic devices.
