The final blast in the Eysturoy-Tórshavn subsea tunnel project is expected in May

The drilling of the Eysturoy-Tórshavn subsea tunnel is scheduled to be completed in mid-May.
On the Streymoy side, between Hvítanes and the roundabout inside the tunnel, 997 metres of drilling remain, while 406 metres remain on the Eysturoy side.
According to the contract, the Eysturoy-Tórshavn subsea tunnel is scheduled to be taken into use in 2020, and the work is going according to schedule, says project leader Teitur Samuelsen.
