Majority of tax returns are incorrectly filed

A total of 18,392 citizens have paid too much tax and will now receive a refund, according to tax authority TAKS.

Some 1,935 people have paid too little, leaving the total amount owed by taxpayers last year at DKK 5,454,212.

This means that the total number of incorrectly filed tax returns, 20,327, is higher than the number of correctly filed tax returns, which stands at 19,715.

Tax refunds of DKK 25 or less will not be paid out, and debts of less than DKK 100 will not be collected.
