Music export agency opens in Syðrugøta
The new music export agency will be sharing office space with the organisers of the G! Festival in Syðrugøta, Eysturoy

Faroe Music Export (FMX) was established earlier this year to boost the Faroese music industry home and abroad.
The new agency is part of the Faroese foundation for the promotion of trades and industries and is the result of a partnership between industry figures and musicians.

In the early stages of planning for the new agency, Eystur Municipality offered to provide office space in the Valhøll building in Syðrugøta, which is the same building that houses the G! festival organisers.
DKK 800,000 has been earmarked for FMX this year, and the plan is to increase the annual appropriation to DKK 1 million in subsequent years.
