Yesterday’s 1,006 Covid-19 tests yielded five positive results.

All five people contracted the virus domestically and are linked to the same known chain of infection, reports corona.fo.

They have all been isolated and contact tracing has been initiated.

The daily number of positive Covid tests over the past week has been as follows: 4, 3, 3, 0, 0, 3, 4 and 5.

Since the outbreak in March, 472 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Faroes, of which 429 have recovered. This means there are currently 43 active cases in the country.

No-one is currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19.
