Pedagogues announce sympathy strike

The sympathy strike, lasting from 8am to 8pm on Monday, will involve all members of the Faroese Pedagogue Union who work in special school classes, including support teachers and assistant support teachers.

Along with this announcement from a few hours ago came a press release from the Fakfelagssamstarvið (the trade union cooperative) urging the opposing parties in the ongoing nurse strike to resume talks and reach an agreement.

This press release is signed by Pedagogfelagið (the Pedagogue Union), Starvsmannafelagið (the Salaried Staff Union), Lærarafelagið (the Teacher’s Union), Akademikarafelagið (the Union of Academics) and Havnar Arbeiðskvinnufelag (Tórshavn’s Women’s Workers’ Union).
