Health insurance costs to increase next year

The monthly contributions to public health insurance Heilsutrygd will increase from 0.6 percent to 0.7 percent of a person’s taxable income, starting on 1 January 2021.

This increase is estimated to cut DKK 11.5 million from Heilsutrygd’s expenses next year.

The fixed DKK 175 health insurance premium will remain unchanged.

Progressive contribution system

People with an annual income of e.g. DKK 300,000 will pay an additional DKK 300 per year, and those with an income of DKK 500,000 will pay an additional DKK 500.

The highest annual income mentioned in the directory is DKK 5 million. People with this income will pay an additional DKK 5,000 per year.
