Rescue packages for tourism industry and artists

MPs will soon be voting on rescue package number four, aimed at the tourism industry.
The Tourism Industry Association has criticised a provision in the new proposal which requires bars and nightclubs to deduct compensation claimed for lost income caused by mandatory early closing times from any aid they will receive from the new rescue package.

A separate rescue package for artists has also been proposed.
The plan is to make a similar package to those offered last year, but according to the proposal, artists whose activities are organised and conducted as business enterprises, e.g. private limited companies, can now also apply.
The proposed rescue package for artists covers financial losses during the period from 1 September 2020 to 30 April 2021.
A maximum of 75 percent of documented losses will be paid out.
