On 3 September, Norwegian airline Widerøe will commence regular flights between Bergen and Vágar on Mondays and Fridays, with plans of eventually increasing its flight frequency.

“The new airline and the new customer base that comes with it will obviously have a positive effect on Vágar Airport and on the Faroese tourism industry in general,” writes Vágar Airport CEO Regin I. Jakobsen in a press release.
