Covid-19 patient dies
A person has died after being hospitalised for Covid-19, reports the chief medical officer.
This is the second Covid-related fatality in the country. The first occurred in January of this year.
One new Covid case
Yesterday’s round of 1,862 Covid tests yielded one positive outcome, which is linked to a known chain of infection.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 2, 6, 1, 2, 0 and 1.

There are currently 38 active Covid cases in the country. One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 110 are currently listed as being in quarantine.
According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 34,657 people (65 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 29,003 (54.4 percent) have received the second shot.
