One new Covid case

One positive Covid test was registered yesterday in the Norðoyggjar region, reports corona.fo. The person has not yet been linked to a known chain of infection.

No positive tests were registered on Thursday.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 2, 0, 2, 0, 0, 0 and 1.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 18 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 36,625 people (68.6 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 34,077 (63.8 percent) have received the second shot.

Plenty of vaccine doses are available to everyone aged 12 and over.
