Five new Covid cases

Five people tested Covid positive yesterday, reports corona.fo.
Three are linked to known chains of infection, one tested positive in a follow-up test four days after arriving from abroad and the infection source of one person has not yet been identified.
Hoyvík’s við Løgmannabreyt school is affected, with six cases in the school’s 9th form and one in the 8th form. About 100 pupils in these year groups have been put into quarantine.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 0, 1, 0, 4, 9 and 5.
There are currently 21 active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid.

The mobile vaccination team is getting ready for a new round of drop-in vaccinations across the country.
This week's vaccination times are as follows:
Norðoyggjar
Tonight: 7.30pm in Kunoy, 8.30pm in Haraldssund and 9.15pm in Árnafjørður.
Tomorrow: 7.30pm in Viðareiði, 9.00pm in Hvannasund.
Sandoy
Tuesday: 1pm in Dalur, followed by Húsavík, Skálavík, Sandur and Skopun.
Vágar
Wednesday: 3pm at the Giljanes school for those who have booked an appointment, followed by drop-in vaccinations from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
