Seventeen new Covid cases
Yesterday’s 1,759 Covid tests resulted in 17 positive cases, reports corona.fo.
All were infected in the Faroes. Fifteen are linked to known chains of infection. The infection source of the other two has not yet been identified.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 21, 17, 10, 22, 7, 3 and 17.
There are currently 119 active Covid-19 cases in the country. One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 474 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 38,387 people (71.7 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,457 (68.1 percent) have received the second shot.
