More than 100 new Covid cases yesterday
Covid-19 is spreading faster than ever in the Faroes, with more than 100 positive outcomes expected from yesterday’s testing.
The final figure will not be published until later today or tonight.
“We are working beyond our capacity now, and we have to bring in extra manpower to help with our extensive contact tracing,” says chief medical officer Lars Fodgaard Møller.

"It is not unlikely that we will be seeing even more positive tests over the coming days."
He advises the public to limit their social contacts until further notice.
”With these high infection rates, we may see more people hospitalised with Covid-19, including young people.”
