Tórshavn’s ferry terminal has proved useful as a Covid testing site, but only in decent weather conditions.

With some cold and windy months ahead, the health authorities have decided to move the testing site to the old school in Hoydalar.

“We have had some weather-related issues at the ferry terminal, and this is likely to get worse over the coming months, so it makes sense to move our testing facilities inside for the winter,” says Selma Herup, HR manager at the National Hospital.

“This will obviously make it more comfortable for our testing staff over the coming months.”

As testing moves inside, starting today, this means that people will need to get out of their cars and enter the school building on foot to get tested. Register for testing at corona.fo.
