Booster shots for everyone aged 18+
All adults can now receive a third booster shot of the Pfizer/BionTech Covid vaccine.
The only condition is that at least six months have passed since the second shot.
Initially, the booster shots will be available on a drop-in basis at the following times:
The National Hospital, Tórshavn: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 5pm-6pm.
Klaksvík Hospital: Wednesday 5.30pm-6pm.
Suðuroy Hospital, Tvøroyri: 22, 24 and 29 November 4pm-5pm.
Forty-one new Covid cases
Thursday’s 2,899 Covid tests resulted in 41 positive cases, reports corona.fo.
All have been notified by the health authorities, and extensive contact tracing is underway.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 29, 35, 27, 51, 27, 45 and 41.
There are currently 381 active Covid-19 cases in the country. Nine people are receiving Covid treatment in hospital, and a total of 11 Covid-related fatalities have been registered.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 91.6 percent of the 12+ population have received the first shot of the vaccine, 86.7 percent have received the second shot and 8.5 percent have received a third booster shot.
