Vaccinations open for 5-11 age group
Sixty-four new Covid cases were registered yesterday

Children aged 5-11 will now be eligible for Covid vaccines, reports corona.fo.

GPs will initially be vaccinating the young children on a drop-in basis. Further details on where and when will be announced soon.

Yesterday’s round of 2,955 tests yielded 64 positive outcomes. Public statistics on Omicron cases have not been updated in the past few days.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 81, 78, 63, 62, 35, 41 and 64.

There are currently 424 active Covid cases in the country, and seven people are receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 92.2 percent of the 12+ population have received the first shot of the vaccine, 89.7 percent have received the second shot and 19.6 percent have received a third booster shot.
