Sudden spike in flight ticket sales

The national airline last month had to cut the number of scheduled flights on its Faroes-Denmark route as demand was lower than expected for Q1 of this year.
But now, just over a month later, the airline is suddenly starting to see fully booked flights.
The Vágar-Copenhagen flights this coming Tuesday and Thursday, for instance, are sold out.

Tickets are available for the rest of the week, according to Altantic Airways CEO Jóhanna á Bergi.
“We will add new flights to meet this sudden spike in demand,” she says.
“We will make sure there will be no bottlenecks to and from the Faroe Islands.”
