Continuing to use studded tyres may result in a DKK 1,000 fine
Studded tyres are allowed in the Faroes from 16 October to 15 May

The studded-tyre season ended on Sunday, but many appear to have forgotten to change their tyres.
“We start issuing fines today,” Karl Leonsson, of the police traffic patrol, told KvF’s radio news yesterday.
“We saw many cars with studded tyres yesterday. We decided to give drivers one more day to change the tyres.”
Owners of cars fitted with studded tyres risk a DKK 1,000 fine.
