Eight new Covid cases
There are currently 112 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Yesterday’s round of 1,548 Covid tests yielded eight positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

Five of these are linked to known chains of infection, one tested positive on arrival from abroad and two tested positive in follow-up tests four days after arrival.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 11, 7, 7, 9, 8, 4 and 8.

One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 597 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 33,551 people (62.9 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 25,862 (48.5 percent) have received the second shot.
