Thirteen new Covid cases
All but one were infected in the Faroes

Thirteen people tested Covid positive yesterday, reports corona.fo.

Twelve were infected through community spread and are linked to known chains of infection. One person tested positive in a follow-up test five days after arriving from abroad.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 8, 12, 17, 7, 5 and 13.

There are currently 79 active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 404 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 38,059 people (71.0 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,070 (67.3 percent) have received the second shot.
