Yesterday’s 1,380 Covid tests resulted in 17 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

Fifteen were infected in the Faroes, and all but one of these are linked to known chains of infection.

Two tested positive in follow-up tests two and three days after arriving from abroad.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 12, 17, 7, 5, 13, 21 and 17.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 423 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 38,109 people (71.1 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,182 (67.5 percent) have received the second shot.
