Children aged 5-11 will from tomorrow be able to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Vaccinations will initially only be available at Tórshavn’s Tjaldurs Apotek pharmacy, located in the SMS shopping centre.

According to corona.fo, Suðuroy Hospital and Klaksvík’s Norðoya Apotek pharmacy will be offering child vaccines at a later date.

Drop-in child vaccinations may be arranged elsewhere in the country if deemed necessary.

Nurses will be administering the vaccines on behalf of the Hospital Service.

Bookings for child vaccinations have opened on corona.fo.

As consent is required for child vaccinations, it is important that a parent or a guardian is present at the vaccination site to confirm the booking.

Due to limited space, the Hospital Service asks that only one parent attends per child.
