Intercultural Family Retreat returns after Covid break

Eighty-six immigrants of all ages from 17 different countries met for a weekend of learning, fun and socialising in Nesvík this weekend.
“It is clear that people have been missing this event during the pandemic. Everyone we have spoken to said they had a great time,” says Sigrið Zachariasen, daily manager at Red Cross Faroe Islands, which organises the event.
“They say this is a wonderful way to meet other members of the immigrant community, and they appreciate the opportunity to talk about their common interests and challenges as immigrants in this country.”
All participants were given a questionnaire to fill in. The Red Cross wants to make this a recurring annual event and will use the feedback to improve future events.
