Prime Minister meets Zelensky in Denmark

Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen today had the honour of meeting Volodymyr Zelensky as part of the Ukrainian President’s official visit to Denmark.
"I shook his hand and told him that Ukraine has our full support in its war against Russia,” said Johannesen.
He went on to explain to the President that the Faroes have taken in almost 200 Ukrainian refugees and sent relief aid to Ukraine.
"I also used the opportunity to invite him to visit the Faroes. He said that he was interested in visiting, but first we need to finish this war.”
The Faroes have sent DKK 7 million in relief aid to Ukraine this year, and the plan is to send a further DKK 10 million next year.
Johannesen agrees with Zelensky that if Ukraine loses the war, Russia might go on to invade other European countries.
Shortly after the President’s arrival in Denmark yesterday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced that Denmark will supply 19 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
The President later gave a speech in the Danish Parliament, thanking Denmark for all its support.
”Dear people of Denmark. I am here today together with my wife and my team to thank you in person. Thank you all for helping us in our difficult fight for freedom.”
But Zelensky also used the opportunity to warn Denmark and everyone else about Putin’s and Russia’s plans.
”They [Russia] have no hesitation in saying that Ukraine is not enough. Once Ukraine has fallen, they will continue to take their military aggression to other parts of Europe and the rest of the world. I am sure you are hearing it. You’re hearing it from Moscow. All of Russia’s neighbours are under threat if Ukraine does not prevail.”
