Tourists fined for hiking without paying

Two tourists were recently reported to the police after hiking to the “Kallurin” lighthouse in Kalsoy without paying the hiking fee.

The tourists had been informed about the hiking fee, but they decided to head for the lighthouse without paying, according to a local farmer.

Police arrived and fined each of the two tourists DKK 1,000.

Local farmers have reported non-paying tourists to the police in the past, but police say this is the first time they have issued fines of this type.
