Tórshavn City Council has proposed a new gathering place for Hoyvík residents
The proposed location for Hoyvík’s district square is next to the iconic church

Since the completion of Hoyvík's church in 2007, residents have been calling for a space that would foster a sense of community in its shadow
It looks like this wish will soon become reality after Tórshavn City Council this week approved plans to create a new district square next to the church.
The City Council is planning to invite architects to submit design proposals for the square in the coming weeks.
