Parking permits for city centre dwellers

Tórshavn City Council has implemented a new parking policy.

People who live in the central part of Tórshavn can now apply for a special parking permit. The price will be DKK 780 per year.

A parking permit does not provide access to any particular parking space, and the City Council also points out that there is no guarantee that there will be a free parking space.

Parking spaces in Tórshavn are divided into districts, and the new permits will only be offered to residents in district 1, which is the city centre.
