A new digital parking system planned for Tórshavn is based on a system used in Catalonia. And now the two nations have officially teamed up in an effort to boost digital services.

The new agreement involves the sharing of knowledge and experience in digital services.

On a recent visit to the Faroes, Jordi Puigneró, the Minister of Digital Policies and Public Administration of Catalonia, and a group of civil servants were introduced to a number of innovative Faroese digital systems, including those used by Føroya Gjaldstova (the Revenue Office), Føroya Tele, power supplier SEV and Fjarskiftiseftirlitið (the Telecommunications Authority).
