“WE ARE GOING TO CANNES!!!”

So wrote a delighted Andrias Høgenni on Twitter after it was announced that his “Ikki illa meint” (No bad intentions) graduation project is nominated in the short film category at the Cannes Film Festival.

This is the first time that a Faroese film is selected for the Cannes festival, which is considered the most prestigious film festival in Europe.

“I am incredibly thankful for this amazing opportunity, and eternally grateful for the crew that stood behind this little chaotic film,” he tweeted.
