Hotel Skálavík to shut down

Sandoy’s Hotel Skálavík will close on 31 March after owner Smyril Line failed to secure a rental deal with the owner of the building.

Smyril Line and locals are regretful to see the hotel shut down, but the company sees no other option at this time.

Hotel Skálavík opened in 2015 in buildings rented from the local Immanuel Grunnurin fund.
