Travel tax should also apply to cruise passengers

Travellers arriving in the Faroes from cruise ships should pay the DKK 65 travel tax like all other travellers.

This is one of the conclusions of Visit Faroe Islands’ tourism development plan for 2020-2025.

The travel tax revenue should be earmarked for key tourism infrastructure purposes, including the establishment of a nature preservation fund which will focus on balancing future tourism development and nature preservation, according to the report.
