Health tests for seniors

The National Association of Pensioners has commissioned a study that seeks to determine and clarify the general state of health of the oldest citizens in the country.

Arguing that there is insufficient knowledge of the general health of old age pensioners, the association has called on Gallup Føroyar and researcher Maria Skaalum Petersen to conduct a survey of this demographic to help identify problem areas and enhance the authorities’ understanding of pensioners’ needs, for instance in terms of accommodation and transport.

The Research Council is supporting the study with a DKK 308,000 grant.
