In June, Tórshavn City Council asked citizens to help combat lady’s mantles, and now other local authorities, including Klaksvík and Nes, are joining in this pledge.

Lady’s mantles, also known as Alchemilla mollis, can self-sow themselves and tend to spread easily.

To help solve this problem, members of the public who come across the plant are asked to pick them up by the root, and if this is not possible, cut them off as close to the root as possible, put the plant in a bag and dispose of it.
