The Faroese population has grown by about 1,000 over the past year

At the start of November, 52,854 people lived in the Faroes, reports Statistics Faroe Islands.
This figure increased by 102 from early October to early November.
Some 51.8 percent of the population are men and 48.2 percent women.
More than 40 percent live in the capital region, Suðurstreymoy.
