The current Faroese Covid-19 figures have prompted Norwegian authorities to place the Faroe Islands on Norway’s red list of Covid-19 high-risk countries.
In response to this news, Atlantic Airways rescheduled its weekly Monday flight between the Faroes and Norway to earlier today.
The direct Norway flights were introduced recently as a temporary way to allow Faroese sailors and offshore workers to bypass Denmark’s Covid restrictions on their way to work in Norway.
