Eight new Covid cases

Yesterday’s round of 1,186 Covid tests yielded eight positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

Six are linked to a known chain of infection, one tested positive on arrival from abroad and another in a follow-up test six days after arriving from abroad. All have been isolated and contact tracing is underway.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 3, 6, 5, 6, 4 and 8.

One person is currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and the latest figures show that 248 people are in quarantine.
