Unemployment decreasing

The unemployment rate reached 1.9 percent in the months after the Covid-19 outbreak in March.

In October, this figure had come down to 1.3 percent, reports Statistics Faroe Islands.

In October 2019, the unemployment rate was 0.9 percent.

There were 393 full-time unemployed people in October this year. Vágar had the highest number of unemployed people and Norðoyggjar the lowest.
