Betri deildin, the top football division in the Faroes, will kick off this weekend and fans will be allowed in the stands.

In consultation with the health authorities, the Faroese Football Association (FSF) has issued a new set of guidelines for spectators and home teams.

Spectators will be divided into groups of no more than 100 people, each group with its own entrance, exit and access to toilet facilities.

Distance requirements

Spectators are required to stay within the same group through the match.

Alternate rows of seats must be unoccupied, and spectators are to be separated by at least one empty seat.

The home team appoints a safety officer, who will be responsible for ensuring that these guidelines are adhered to at all times.
