While some industries are suffering as a result of the pandemic, retailers are raking in the cash.
According to the economic council’s 2021 spring report, Faroese consumers are spending much more domestically now compared to when they were free to travel wherever and however they liked.
In December 2020, retail revenues grew by 12 percent, or DKK 45 million, compared to December 2019.
