Vaccine wastage “close to zero”

We are extracting more out of each batch of vaccines than Denmark, and almost nothing goes to waste, reports corona.fo.
The latest batch of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine was enough for 1,354 shots, and this number has remained steady since vaccinations began in the Faroes. This is 13 percent more than the Danish average of 1,200.
Updated vaccination schedule
An updated vaccination calendar is available here (in Faroese only).
According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated this morning, 5,388 people (10.2 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 4,039 (7.6 percent) have received the second shot.
A new batch of the Pfizer/BioNTech is due to arrive on Wednesday evening.
No new Covid cases have been registered since 12 March. One active case remains in the country.
