Child sexual abuse surrounded by eerie silence
Earlier today, child protection groups Verjið Børnini (Protect our Children) and Steðgið Pedofili (Stop Paedophilia) organised a protest event in Tórshavn’s city centre.
The groups protested the leniency of the three-year jail term handed to a man who was sentenced for having sexually abused young boys.
The organisers of the event say they wanted to express sympathy and respect for victims of child sexual abuse, who have been suffering in silence and continue to do so.
