Eight new Covid cases

Yesterday’s 2,103 Covid tests yielded eight positive outcomes.
Two tested positive on arrival from abroad and one in a follow-up test four days after arrival. The other five were infected domestically. Four of these are linked to a known chain of infection, while the source of infection for the other person remains unknown.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 3, 0, 3, 9, 10, 14 and 8.
One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 291 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.
According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 31,781 people (59.6 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 21,811 (40.9 percent) have received the second shot.
