Six new Covid cases since Thursday
There are currently 70 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Five positive Covid tests were registered on Friday and one on Saturday.

Three people were infected domestically. One of these is linked to a known chain of infection, while the infection source of the other two remains unknown. One tested positive on arrival from abroad, one in a follow-up test three days after arrival and one four days after arrival.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 8, 8, 8, 9, 7, 5 and 1.

Two people are receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 211 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 34,256 people (64.2 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 27,461 (50.5 percent) have received the second shot.
