Hotels are busier than ever, Norrøna passenger numbers are increasing and air traffic is also picking up pace.

All in all, the Faroese tourism industry has enjoyed a decent summer, says Guðrið Højgaard, CEO of Visit Faroe Islands.

“The impressive hotel figure for July is mainly due to a record-high number of Faroese hotel visitors this summer, and Danish hotel visitors also stayed longer than usual,” she explains.

“Overall, we are still some way off the pre-Covid levels, but the outlook for 2022 is very positive.”
