Police investigate suspected arson

No-one was injured after three houses in the Streymoy village of Stykkið caught fire last night.
Eyewitnesses told the police that the fires were set intentionally and that they knew the identity of the perpetrators.
A few people have been arrested, but they have yet to be interrogated.
According to the witnesses, the fire started between 10pm and 11pm last night. The fire brigade arrived at the scene and put out the fires.
It remains unclear whether all three houses – two regular residential houses and one summer house, according to the witnesses – were set on fire intentionally or whether the fire spread in last night’s strong winds.
Man headbutted and taxi stolen
Police are also investigating a case involving a man who was headbutted in Tórshavn city centre last night.
The suspect remains at large, but police have received many tips about the suspect’s identity.
A case involving a stolen taxi in Tórshavn is also under investigation.
The police are looking into a possible link between these three cases.
