Twelve new Covid cases
All were infected through community spread in the Faroes

Yesterday’s 1,280 Covid tests resulted in 12 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

All were infected in the Faroes, and all are linked to known chains of infection.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 7, 3, 17, 9, 13, 9 and 12.

There are currently 119 active Covid-19 cases in the country. One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 383 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 38,647 people (72.1 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,713 (68.5 percent) have received the second shot.
