Eight new Covid cases
There are currently 114 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Yesterday’s 797 Covid tests resulted in eight positive cases, reports corona.fo.

All were infected in the Faroes. All but one are linked to known chains of infection.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 17, 9, 13, 9, 12, 13 and 8.

One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 214 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 38,663 people (72.1 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,727 (68.5 percent) have received the second shot.
