Nine new Covid cases
All were infected through community spread

Yesterday’s 729 Covid tests resulted in nine positive cases, reports corona.fo.

All were infected in the Faroes, and all are linked to known chains of infection.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 12, 13, 8, 12, 8, 4 and 9.

There are currently 92 active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 220 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 38,890 people (72.7 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,977 (69.1 percent) have received the second shot.
