Thirteen new Covid cases

Yesterday’s 1,273 Covid tests resulted in 13 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

Ten were infected in the Faroes, and all but one of these are linked to known chains of infection. The other three tested positive in follow-up tests after arriving from abroad.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 8, 4, 9, ?, 10, 6 and 13.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 153 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 38,942 people (72.8 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 37,119 (69.4 percent) have received the second shot.
